Justification of natural destruction ....

The world, i.e. the earthly creation, is in a state of constantly progressing development, for nothing that God has created remains in a state oFuerest, i.e. constantly on the same level, but it will only fulfil its actual purpose through perpetual change. This process of change need not always be visible, i.e. it can take place so slowly that the human being perceives little or no change, but it can also happen so suddenly and on such a huge scale that whole creations are destroyed and remodelled and the human being does not become aware of this because he himself will hardly survive such a process. Nevertheless, such upheavals are part of the process of development of the entire spiritual substance, which has to be temporarily disturbed out of an inactivity into which it falls as a result of its resistance against God.

All creations emerge from the hand of God for a specific purpose, for the maturing of the spiritual, which is bound in these works of creation. According to the law of eternity creation therefore fulfils its purpose because the spiritual in it carries out the activity in the law of compulsion which helps it to mature. But man, the embodied spiritual in the state of free will, can misuse his outer form, which was given to him for the same purpose, by ignoring his spiritual task, and he can also prevent the creations, which harbour the still undeveloped spiritual, from fulfilling their purpose by premature destruction out of bad motives, by utilising it for purposes contrary to God, by preventing it from serving, and thus he can to a certain extent misuse the works of creation intended for the maturing of the spiritual substance, as a result of which the spiritual substance gets into turmoil and tries to burst its cover, which is expressed in destructions which are natural and therefore not directly caused by

human will. For the still bound spiritual can oppose human will because it is not consistently God-opposing and to a certain extent wants the spiritual upward development itself. Then the raging against the divine order has a self-destructive effect, just as, conversely, construction and further development requires action according to divine law, in divine order. And so it is self-evident that entire works of creation can also disintegrate if divine order is violated to such an extent that the actual purpose is no longer fulfilled by people who are only allowed to live in and utilise earthly creation for the purpose of upward development.

If the creations, which come into being especially for people in order to enable their maturing, are only used or misused by them for other purposes then this signifies a danger insofar as that the spiritual substance in them revolts because it senses what is unlawful and sees its own development threatened. Thus, the destruction of creations on a large scale by God's will is often an act of help for the spiritual substance bound therein, which is hindered in its development by human will, which is wrongly directed, and yet wants to come into its own. In addition, new creations are also to be seen as the beginning of a new era oFueredemption, for the hard matter again harbours the spiritual within itself, which is forced to take a course of development through the whole of creation because it failed in its free will in the previous period.

It had to be deprived of its free will again and now takes the path of the law again in bound will .... it has to serve because it did not want to recognise its purpose as a human being and sinned against the law of eternal order .... This is why every new creation is based on the same principle: service according to divine destiny in the state of compulsion and likewise in the state of free will .... The principle of love must always predominate if the upward development of the spiritual is to take place and be recognisable .... But where it is sinned against, decay and disorder and finally complete disintegration is the result ....

Amen
