Spiritual mentor ....

Every soul has its spiritual mentor, its guide, who wants to help it to eternal life. He tries to influence the thoughts of man and to turn them towards the spiritual kingdom, but how he also moulds his fate so that it can lead to great success, however under consideration of free will. This mentor knows what is beneficial for the soul's development and what could be detrimental to it, and therefore he will always endeavour to help the soul to progress, because he is united with it in love and the leadership over that soul has been given to him by God Himself. He will promote everything that serves it; he will try to prevent what could be detrimental to it, but always with wise realisation and great love.

As long as the human being remains on earth the spiritual spheres are intellectually closed to him; even if the soul can soar into the spiritual kingdom it does so unconsciously to the body and is also unable to convey the impressions from these spheres to the intellectual human being in such a way that he could form a picture which corresponds to the truth. The spiritual realm will also remain a mystery to the physical human being until the body has spiritualised itself to such an extent that the soul can communicate what it has seen to it and it remains in its consciousness. Then that degree of maturity is reached which makes a further life on earth unnecessary, which the spiritual leader also wants to achieve as long as the soul still dwells in the body.

But as long as this degree of maturity has not yet been reached, the mentor carefully guards the intellectual man from creating distorted images of the spiritual kingdom, which could only confuse him but not further him, for the intellect of man still has influence on the soul as long as it has not already reached the degree of maturity that it is able to see spiritually.The soul itself can certainly dwell in spheres in dreams from which it draws much strength and knowledge, but it will not take over the memory of it into earthly life as long as the body is not likewise spiritualised.

The spiritual mentor effectively erects a wall and conceals everything behind the wall which is still incomprehensible to the human being's intellect, whereas the soul can cross the wall unhindered and gain insight into the spiritual kingdom. And this boundary is carefully guarded from the spiritual side .... what is unveiled to the soul remains hidden from the human being's intellect .... until the soul is no longer in danger of falling into doubt if the intellect tries to shake it. A strong soul, which has become rich in realisation, can now also convince the intellect and correctly refute every objection, yet it first has to have reached this maturity, then it can look into the spiritual kingdom unhesitatingly and consciously and also communicate itself to the intellect, which now also allows itself to be instructed about it and does not oppose any doubts of faith.

He who seeks the truth will also find it, but the human being should always leave himself to the spiritual guidance and not try to penetrate knowledge on his own authority, which can only harm him if he does not have the necessary degree of maturity to utilise the knowledge properly. His spiritual guide knows about the state of his soul and tries to elevate it as long as he is not resisted. For he is not lacking in wisdom and love and considers his pupils in such a way that it is a blessing for them ....
