Trials as a love degree gauge ....

The trials that the Lord sends you are at the same time also the measure of love, because how you overcome them and meet them, expresses your love for the Divine Savior.  And the opportunities you miss to serve the Lord, are always a loss of His love, too, because the Lord is present in every work of love and therefore always dwells where action or sacrifice is done for His sake.  And so also every omission will question the presence of the Lord.  The Divinity will express itself in deepest love at any time, if only the heart of the earthly child is likewise willing to love.  But every thought that moves away from what is the sole task of man will also result in a reduction of the Savior's love, and such a child must then struggle to be received again in full love by the Lord.

For only one thing is important, to do everything to receive the affection of the Lord .... And be sure that all the will of the earthly child must submit to the Lord with increased zeal, if the Lord is to take possession of him and the heart is to become a permanent abode of the Lord.  Therefore your efforts should be in the first place to always glow with love for the Lord, to always recognize Him as the most important thing in life and to put everything else in the back, as it were, in order to remain active only for the sake of the Lord, and only then is the success of the earthly child also certain ..…

For temptations are many, and yet man can resist them if he entrusts himself to the Lord quite intimately and commends himself to Him and His grace, and this especially in hours of struggle with himself.  And intimate prayer will always be a weapon against an inward slackening, which is the greatest danger for man.  But if you are mindful of your true destiny on earth, you will overcome all temptations and unrestrainedly devote yourselves to the Divine Saviour and thus also remain in His love ....
